GENERAL GUIDELINES
Commissions cannot, under any circumstances, be used for commercial purposes without prior discussion and additional payment. I will NEVER consent to my art being used for NFT, AI, or any related purpose. If you see my art being used as such, please notify me.
-----------------------------------------------1. I have every right to decline a commission for any reason. Common examples include but are not limited to:a. I find it offensive towards myself or a group of persons/people.b. It's otherwise against one of my policies.c. I am incapable of interpreting the requested commission.d. It doesn't follow my REFERENCE POLICY.e. It makes me uncomfortable, or I don't feel confident in my ability to complete it.-----------------------------------------------2. I complete commissions in the order in which I am paid.
Ex. Person A requests commission before Person B, but Person B pays me first. Person B's commission will be worked on first.
-----------------------------------------------3. Please allow up to 3 weeks for me to start/finish/show progress on your commission!a. If an IRL (real-life) conflict occurs, or I know your commission will take longer for any other reason, I will reach out to you.b. If I have to back out of the commission, I will let you know and refund your commission entirely.c. Refunds are not accepted until 3 days after you have paid for the commission.-----------------------------------------------4. You have every right to request to see the progress of your commission!a. By default, I will show the progress of a commission, at least the sketch, before finishing. (The only exceptions to this are some of my Special Offers, and I will communicate the differences to the customer directly when opening slots for them.)b. I will make any revisions to the sketch that you want until you're satisfied!c. I also often send the WIPs for flat colors if it is a more thoroughly-rendered commission, to ensure all details are correct before moving into the final render.d. You may also make as many revisions to the flat colors as you'd like (i.e. only the colors themselves, larger changes would have taken place during the sketch phase).e. You may request to see more WIPs at any point.-----------------------------------------------5. I will make 1 revision to the
final product upon request.
a. This can include: a flaw I have made in the design of your character, wanting something added, taken away, etc.
b. Any additional changes to the final product will be an extra charge of $2 per alteration. This applies only after the finished piece is given to you.
-----------------------------------------------6. You will receive the following:a. Full-resolution image of your commission.b. Version without my watermark for personal usage. (My signature will always remain visible, however.)-----------------------------------------------7. You may repost or share a commission you bought from me provided you follow these guidelines:a. Give me credit wherever the image is reposted, or link people back to me.b. You may NOT claim the art as your own.c. You may not alter the image in any way without permission. (e.g. cropping, color-changing, drawing over the image, etc.)
Just ask if you want to do a Santa hat edit or w/e, I just want to be aware of it.
-----------------------------------------------8. Feel free to ask questions.a. If you're confused about anything, let me know and I will do my best to explain.b. If you're asking questions about what I can do with your commission, I will let you know what I'm capable of doing.-----------------------------------------------

COMMISSION PAYMENT
-----------------------------------------------
1. I require payment upfront, except for large projects.
a. Payment is accepted upfront. There are a few exceptions to this rule. If I explicitly state that I will accept a payment plan, then I will. If the project is worth $300 or more, I will consider payment plans.
-----------------------------------------------2. I only accept USD
a. Please be sure to use a converter before commissioning me if you're paying with other currencies!
-----------------------------------------------3. I will send an invoice through PayPal for you to pay.
a. If PayPal does not work for you, I also have access to Cash App, Ko-Fi, Stripe, Boosty, Payoneer, and Venmo.
b. Regardless of what payment method you use, by purchasing, you agree to the whole of my Terms of Service.
-----------------------------------------------4. Refunds:a. Are not accepted after the commission is fully completed and delivered.b. If you did not request to see the progress of your commission, and you are unhappy with the results despite giving me total artistic freedom, you will not receive a refund.
b.1.Additionally, if you commissioned me for an experimental commission, you signed up for art I don't normally offer or is in a style I don't normally use, and as such, a refund is not available to you.
c. If, 3 days or more after payment, you require a refund for your commission, and I have not begun work, I will provide a refund to you in full. If, however, I have completed work on the commission already, I will deduct an amount equal to the work completed from the refund, and send you full-res files of all completed work.
e. If the reason for your refund is an emergency (i.e. medical or family emergencies) I am more than happy to provide a full refund regardless of the work done.
-----------------------------------------------

REFERENCE POLICYI ask that my commissioners provide me with reference(s) that show the entire design of the character. See 'Reference Examples' above for visual examples. Below, I have listed my conditions. If my conditions are not sufficiently met, the commissioner will incur the ‘Character Design Service’ surcharge should they wish to continue the commission. This charge is listed under ‘Add-ons’ in my Digital Commissions price guide. (Currently $20)¡This option is only available for General Commissions and does not apply to any of my Special Offers!-----------------------------------------------1. The bare minimum that I need in a reference;a. A full-body view of the character.
a.1. 3/4 perspective is most appreciated, but a front view is acceptable so long as I am familiar with the depicted race/species/etc.
b. Flat colors. (No lighting/values aside from a character’s colors/markings.)d. A design/character with clearly separated colors.
d.1. I have trouble understanding designs with markings/colors that are too close in value/too close together. Especially dark values. So, there is a bare minimum amount of contrast I need to work with.
e. The character is separated from noise/is distinguishable.
e.1. References with photos, noisy patterns, etc. in the background are ones I will not accept. Flat colors, faint patterns, and gradients in the background are fine.
-----------------------------------------------2. Additional things that would assist me, but are not wholly necessary:a. Details. (Markings, spines, accessories, etc.)b. Multiple views/Close-ups.c. Expressions.
c.1. Maybe your character has ears or frills, or some part of the body that changes when they're angry or sad, I would like to know, so I can properly express the character's emotion through their body language.
-----------------------------------------------3. What I will NOT take for a reference;a. NSFW Images. (Images depicting genitalia. Boobs don't count.)b. Images with a dynamic pose. (Running, sitting, flying, generally any pose that would cause significant overlap with limbs/obscure large portions of a character’s body/details.)c. Shaded Images.
¡I will not accept references with shading/lighting!
d. Text descriptions of a character. (Unless it's specifically a character design commission.)e. Half-body drawings.
(These may be acceptable for a headshot or bust commission.)
f. Picrews. (This also applies to any other "create a character" games.)g. Sketchy/Messy/Noisy Images.
g.1. This includes sketchy lines/color. Lines have to be clear. Colors as well. (If the ref is super messy, has no color, etc. I will not accept it.)
h. Group drawings (if it is a character/adopt lineup, and the whole character is visible, I will accept it.)i. Images that are overly compressed/pixelated to the point I cannot color-pick from them accurately.j. 3D Models.k. Game Screenshots.l. Pixel Art.m. Lineless Art/Lineless References. (Images without clear line art.)n. Traditional art/digital art with traditional texturing.o. Photographic references. (Pictures of a fursuit, cosplay, etc.)-----------------------------------------------4. I may make exceptions for:a. Cel shaded refs; if there's a color key, it's not heavily detailed, and it's the only thing you have. This will still be handled on a case-by-case basis. It is unlikely I will accept it, but you are free to try.b. Photographic references for individual props, articles of clothing, or background references.c. Photographic references for portrait commissions (if you want me to draw YOU as you appear in photos).d. A solely front-view reference of an unfamiliar race/species if you can provide additional references and/or photographic face claims.e. NSFW references for NSFW commissions.f. NSFW images as supplementary reference if you give me a warning. For example: "Hey, I have another example that shows such-and-such better, but it's NSFW."-----------------------------------------------5. Additionally:
a. I will draw the character as it is depicted on the reference. This means that I will not make large change (ex. turning character from quadrupedal into bipedal). This type of change would incur the ‘Character Design Service’ surcharge.
b. However, small changes like body type (with accompanying drawn or photo reference) skin tone, eye colour, etc. are fine! Feel free to ask regarding a specific change.

PLUSH COMMISSIONS
All of the above applies to plush commissions, with one exception. I do not produce custom plushies of copyrighted characters. I will only make a plush if the commissioner owns ALL rights to the character, or has explicit permission from the character owner to do so. This includes fan characters, such as Pokemon fusions, Pokemon OCs, self-inserts, etc.
